private work
The Room
Private composure work for interior designers with real money on the table.
For the moment a client pushes back on your price. Questions your scope. Goes quiet after the proposal.
And you can feel yourself starting to wobble.

How it works
THE PROBLEM
You already know what to charge.
That was never the part that broke.
You've done the maths. You've read the pricing advice. You know, on paper, exactly what your work is worth.
And then she says it's more than she expected.
And you hear yourself saying I could probably do it for a little less.
Then you replay it for three days.
Say that "little less" was 10%. On a $30,000 flat fee, that's $3,000 gone in the time it took her to raise her eyebrows. One project. One moment you didn't hold.
Now count how many times you've done that this year.
That's not a knowledge problem. No spreadsheet was ever going to fix it.
Most advice in this industry teaches you what to charge and stops there. It stops one step too early. Because the skill that actually decides it is holding your price when someone pushes... and that is a different skill entirely.
That's the skill this is for.
WHAT WE WORK ON
What we work on in The Room
We don't work on theory. We work on the situation you are actually in this week.
PRICING. Saying your number, and leaving it where you put it.
Not what to charge. How to say it out loud, without softening it, without the nervous laugh, without adding "but I can be flexible" before she has even answered. And how to stay where you put it when she pushes.
NEGOTIATION. The pushback, the discount request, the ask for more at the same fee.
What is actually happening in the room when someone tests your price. What she is really asking. What you say. What you don't say. And how to hold your position without becoming someone you don't like.
CLIENT SITUATIONS. The scope creep, the wrong client, the awkward no.
The gut warning you talked yourself out of. The work that started before the contract was signed. The scope that quietly doubled. The conversation you have been putting off for two weeks.
You bring the real one. We work it in the room.
But the situation on the table is never really the point. It's the way in.
By the end, you don't just know how this one went. You know exactly where you personally wobble... the moment, the phrase, the kind of client who gets you every time. So the next time you feel it starting, you catch it before it costs you anything.
Who this session is made for
This is yours if:
- You have live client work, or a live inquiry, with real money attached
- You know your numbers, and still lose ground the moment someone pushes
- You have a specific situation happening right now... a proposal, a pushback, a scope conversation, a client you should probably let go
- You want to practise the conversation, not talk around it
- You want someone in your corner who will tell you the truth
This is not for you if:
- You don't have clients yet. Nothing here will work without a live situation to work on, and I would be taking your money for a conversation you cannot use.
- You want a strategy session, a business review, or a plan for the year. This is not that. It's narrow on purpose.
If you're earlier than this, the classes and the membership are where you belong right now. That is not a smaller version of this work. It's the right version, for where you are.
What's included
The read. Before we meet, you send me the real material. The proposal. The email thread. The number you are afraid to say. I read all of it, properly, before the day.
Three hours. Private.
One afternoon. We work it out loud. You say the thing. I push back. You hold. Then we do it again, until it stops costing you something.
A recording of the session.
A written plan within 7 days. Your language, your next moves, the exact words you're going to use... and the pattern underneath it, so you recognise it coming before it ever costs you again.
One 45 minute follow up. Booked on the day, used within 30 days, after you have had the conversation. That's where it locks in.
Then it's finished.
No open ended arrangement, no ongoing commitment on either side.
Investment: $3.700
Available in English or Swedish.
How it Works
You apply
A short form. What the situation is, what's on the table, what has happened so far.
I read every one myself. If it's a fit, I'll write back with the dates I have.
The real thing
The proposal, the thread, the number. Whatever the situation actually is.
I'd rather arrive knowing it than spend your first hour catching up.
The Room
Three hours, in person or by video, whichever works.
We work your live situation until you can hold it. Not talk about it. Hold it.
The follow up
45 minutes, booked on the day, used within 30 days.
After you have had the conversation in real life.
That's where it locks in.
CURRENTLY CLOSED
On availability
The Room is closed for the summer.
I open a small number of dates each quarter. I run a business alongside this, and I would rather do a few of these properly than a lot of them thinly.
I read every application myself, and I only take the ones I can genuinely move.
Applications open again in September. If you'd like to know when, leave your name below and I'll write to you myself.
NOTIFY ME WHEN IT OPENS →Where this comes from
Before any of this, I spent ten years in corporate finance. Ship financing. Large deals. Negotiations at parliamentary level. Rooms where one number on the table decided whether it happened at all.
I was not fearless in those rooms. Nobody is.
What I learned instead is that the people who held their ground weren't braver than everyone else.
They were composed.
Focused on the one thing to do right now, however fast their heart was going.
Before that, I was a competitive figure skater who was frightened of competing.
So I learned composure there first, the hard way, because I had to.
I've been in the rooms.
And then I built the system for you.
That's what this is.
Not confidence you're supposed to summon from nowhere.
Calm you can practise, step by step, until holding your price stops being a performance and just becomes something you do.
If this isn't where you are right now
Most designers don't need three hours in a room with me. They need the system, and time to work through it.
That's what the classes and the membership are for. Same method, same thinking, at a fraction of the cost... and for most people, it's the better route, not the lesser one.
Start there. This will still be here
